We wanted to thank our volunteers for their time, help and commitment which they continued to provide even during lock-down.
We held a socially distanced get-together in August to recognise, appreciate and say Thank You, for the work that our Volunteers do for us. We thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon catching up with Chris, Wendy, Jan and members of Healthwatch Southend staff team, Jean, Sharon and Sammi. We all appreciated a delicious cream tea too.
We were able to provide volunteers with an overview of the survey work we were currently doing about the impact of COVID19 on residents, care homes and local support organisations.
We also discussed planned future work around Mystery Shopper and Enter & View.
It was interesting to hear how ‘Lockdown’ had affected us all in different ways and we shared what new hobbies each of us have taken up since we had all met last time. We look forward to catching up with our Volunteers again soon. Thank you.
