Healthwatch Southend were invited to the Southend District Pensioners Club at the Balmoral Centre Southend on Wednesday 16th February 2022 to chat about the work we do and listen to local people share their experiences about health and social care.
Our Engagement Officer, Jean, gave a power point presentation outlining the work we do with residents – providing advice, signposting and advocacy for residents in Southend who use health and social care services. There were some very good questions and interesting comments from members. We thank the committee and participants who made us very welcome.

Lack of parental engagement in changes to transport to/from St Christopher’s School
Covid-19 testing for people with disabilities
Attitudes amongst GP reception staff
Serious concerns about housing growth and impact on NHS provision; how are we involved in planning of new facilities eg in Victoria Centre?
