For National Co-production Week (Monday 1 to Friday 5 July), Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT) is sharing some of the many opportunities they have on offer for you to get involved with a range of projects to ensure the care they deliver meets the needs of patients, their families and supporters.
Their Co-Production Champions Network currently consists of around 200 lived experience ambassadors, who have all used community or mental health services or know someone close to them who has.
They provide contributions in many ways, including advising and designing what information, support and activities will most benefit patients, providing peer support, making sure the views of patients and their supporters are heard, sharing personal experiences to improve understanding of people’s specific needs, being actively involved in forums and focus groups, and sitting on interview panels to recruit new staff.
